Well.....we complete week #2!
I just wanted to say a quick "thank-you" to all of my fantastic students for a great first week of blogging! Wow - 109 posts!! Pretty impressive if I do say so myself! We had a few little bumps along the way, but we are definitely moving in the right direction and that has got me (and hopefully you) pretty excited!
I will try and keep my rambling to the bare minimum this week. So without further adieu, here are this week's questions:
1. What does it mean to you to be a "caring" person?
2. Other than Greg Mortensen (the author of "Three Cups of Tea"), research someone in history who has dedicated his or her life to helping others. Write about when he or she lived and provide some examples of how they improved the world through his or her dedication.
Don't forget the rules:
- Put the question in your answer and always write using full sentences.
- Proofread your work (watch your spelling and grammar) before you post it.
- Keep it appropriate for school.
- Have fun and be creative!
This week's bonus question is a fairly simple one - I hope! :-)
What is the definition of a simile and provide me with an example.
Have fun blogging everyone and as usual, I can't wait to read your responses!
Mr. Boettger :-)

is Princess Diana of England.

Ban Landmines, she supported AIDS charitites and worked

ReplyDeleteA good example is you, beacause you always help class mates and your never mean, only when you assign extra homework
ReplyDeleteA caring person helps others, makes sure others are happy, watches others' back(making sure they don't get bullied), making others feel good about themselves, and a caring person puts others in front of themselves and makes sure everyone is happy before themselves.
ReplyDeleteMother Teresa who risked her life helping poor, sick, orphaned, and dying kids for over 45 years(ministering). She started first in India and then many other countries. She died 5 of September 1979 at age 87. She was a roman catholic nun. Her religous beliefs were roman catholic. Mother Teresa changed the world by making herself an example of Jesus back then, so she tryed to help the poor and influence others to do the same.
ReplyDeleteBONUS QUESTION

Hello everyone!
ReplyDeleteJust a little friendly reminder that you must put the question in your answer and to always double-check your spelling! :-) From this point on, I won't be accepting one word answers or answers that don't have the question in them. So, make sure you keep checking this blog to make sure your question was accepted! :-)
We also had quite a few people answer "Terry Fox" for question #2. So, from here on in, Terry Fox can no longer be an answer (despite the fact that it is an excellent example of someone who has changed the world for the better).
